About Karina
A leader in the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapy, Karina has trained extensively in cutting-edge modalities, including certifications in Psychedelic Therapies and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies, MDMA therapy from MAPS, as well as advanced trainings in the use of psilocybin, LSD, 5-MeO-DMT, and ketamine. She was among the first to be trained and integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy with psychedelic psychotherapy, reflecting her commitment to groundbreaking, evidence-based practices.
Previously, Karina served as the Director of Psychedelic Therapy Training at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute’s Treatment and Research in Psychedelics Program (TRIP), where she facilitated transformative psychedelic medicine sessions and mentored clinicians in delivering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. She now serves as a Clinical Research Therapist at Kadima Neuropsychiatry Institute in La Jolla, where she provides cutting-edge, evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapy and contributes to innovative clinical trials advancing the future of mental health care. She has served as faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies and Beckley Academy, training the next generation of psychedelic-assisted therapy facilitators.

In her private practice, Karina specializes in treating depression, anxiety, codependency, and intergenerational and religious trauma.
